Field Visits

·    A field trip was arranged by the department for   III B.Sc Students to Govt. Fish Hatcheries, Badampudi. Sr.Krishna Rao garu explained about the activities undertaken by the department.

·     A field trip was arranged by the department for   II Bsc Students to Mani singh Emu farm, Palagudem, Kalaparru.

 

 A field Trip was arranged for I B.Sc students to Sericulture Units, Vegiwada. They also studied Poultry farms in Vegiwada


 II BZC and ZNC students visited Manisingh Emu farm, Palagudem to have practical orientation under study trip and Mr. Hari Kiran, owner of Emu farm explained the challenges and importance of emu farming.

  I BZC and ZNC students visited Sericulture units at Vegivada and Poultry farms to have practical orientation under study trip and Mrs. explained the sericulture management.


The department of Zoology took the II BZC and ZNC students to the Sri Hanuman Emu Agrofarm, Lakshmipuram to have practical orientation under study trip and Mrs. Naresh explained the Emu management.


·         30th jan 2015: The department of zoology taken the students for field trip to aqua ponds and aquarium fish rearing centre at kaikaluru and Kolleru Wildlife Sanctuary  at Atapaka village 28 kms from Eluru. The students observed Museum and pelican birds and painted storks and their breeding centres in the sanctuary. 90 students from III B.Sc B.Z.C,Z.N.C & I B.VOCATIONAL  classes

·         2015-2016: On 21-8-2015 III BSC BZC, ZNC, II BVOC CALT , I BVOC students along with faculty taken to field trip to government fish hatchery, Badampudi. There, the students have studied Jar hatchery, circulation hatchery, Breeding and hatchery hapas, Induced breeding. Mr. Steven Roy, FDO explained the equipment and induced breeding technique and management in aqua farms in detail.

2016-2017: I,II,III B.voc. Clinical and Aqua Lab Technology students along with faculty taken to field trip to Fish culture ponds in Manuru & Devi  chintapadu. The students were benefited by the practical skills, experience given by the fish farmers in the management of aqua farms and harvesting techniques.

 

   
8th Jan 2019: Field Trip
III B.Sc Zoology Cluster, Botany Cluster , Chemistry Cluster and I B.Voc CALT students taken to the Study tour to Kaikaluru Aquaponds and Atapaka Bird Sanctuary. The students got the practical information from Aquapond owner and Dr.R.Indira, HOD about the Management of Culture ponds. Students also visited the breeding places of Pelican birds at Atapaka Bird Sanctuary.
